DIAGNOSIS OF PERFORMANCE LOSS
Comprehensive assessment when sporting performance has declined.
A comprehensive assessment of the horse with reduced or lost sporting performance, using an individualised diagnostic approach to identify musculoskeletal, biomechanical, cardiorespiratory or physiological abnormalities that may compromise athletic capacity.
The assessment is tailored to each case and may include a clinical and locomotor examination, biomechanical evaluation and specific diagnostic tests, with particular attention to cardiorespiratory function during exercise.
CARDIORESPIRATORY ASSESSMENT
- Electrocardiography at rest and during exercise
- Holter monitoring
- Echocardiography
- Thoracic ultrasonography
- Upper airway endoscopy
- Bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) to assess lower airway disease
The aim is to establish a precise, evidence-based diagnosis, identify factors that may be limiting performance and define a treatment, management and follow-up plan tailored to each horse.

- Manual Therapy
- Regenerative Therapies
- Class IV Therapeutic Laser — K-Laser
- Radiofrequency — INDIBA 448 kHz
- Focused Shockwave Therapy
- TENS — Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation
- EMS — Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation
REHABILITATION
- Individualised rehabilitation plans
- Therapeutic and controlled exercise
The aim is to support the horse throughout recovery, from initial treatment to a gradual and safe return to sporting activity, adapting progress and workload to each patient.

A specialist, tailored veterinary assessment to understand a horse’s health before purchase and identify findings relevant to its intended future use.
Each pre-purchase examination is adapted to the horse, its discipline, history and intended sporting use, as well as the buyer’s needs and expectations.
Depending on the case, the assessment may include:
- General clinical examination
- Assessment of the locomotor system
- Examination at rest and in motion
- Flexion tests
- Radiographic assessment
- Ultrasound assessment
- Blood tests
Additional tests are determined individually, according to each horse’s characteristics and the findings of the examination, with the aim of providing a thorough, rigorous assessment that supports an informed purchase decision consistent with the horse’s future sporting use.
